FSNF: News of the month
Join us this Pink October and be part of the change!
This Pink October, we are raising funds to purchase a portable ultrasound machine for the Women’s Center at the Queen Geraldine Obstetrics and Gynecology University Hospital. This device is essential for early detection of diseases, including breast cancer screening and prenatal care. Thanks to its portability, the device can be used throughout the hospital, diagnosing thousands of women so they can receive the right care in a timely manner.
WITH YOUR SUPPORT, WE AIM TO COLLECT €10,000. EVERY DONATION, REGARDLESS OF THE AMOUNT, CONTRIBUTES DIRECTLY TO ACHIEVING THIS GOAL.
Once the funding is secured, the portable echo will serve over 10,000 patients each year, protecting their health and that of their children through early detection and successful treatment.
Be a part of this life-changing mission. Together, we can offer hope and a brighter future for many women in our community.

Awareness Activity
On the first day of October, we held an awareness activity where we joined the staff of the Obstetric Gynecological University Hospital “Queen Geraldine” to invite every woman to take care of her breast health! Get checked, because prevention is key!
Dr. Aurel Kopeci explained that every woman under the age of 40 should have a breast check every year, even when there are no worrying signs. While for those over 40, an annual mammogram is crucial to detect any problems in time.
STAFF TRAINING IN COLLABORATION WITH SHTEGU I SHPRESËS
Staff Training on Mental Health
This month, we successfully completed our staff training on mental health, in collaboration with Path of Hope!
This is an important step to improve our skills in emotionally supporting new mothers, who face daily challenges. We believe that mental health is as important as physical health, and this training better prepared us to provide quality care for mothers and children.
The ‘Boxes of Joy’ Project
The ‘Boxes of Joy’ project continues, where for 9 years now, we have distributed approximately 100 boxes every year, helping medical staff and providing support for the most difficult cases. Our boxes go to mothers facing great challenges, especially those with many children and limited economic opportunities, as well as to young girls who are still in school and without sufficient support.
These boxes contain the essential elements to help new mothers begin this special journey with their baby.
Success Story
One of our success stories this year has been the purchase of 11 vital signs monitors for infants in intensive care. These high-quality monitors allow us to keep track of the oxygen and blood pressure of infants, ensuring the highest quality intensive care.
We sincerely thank our partners and donors of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!
